About Us

Central Oddities formed in 2022 when Ivan Pavlovich (muscleman farms) and myself, Sandra Dethomasis (tarnished reputation) joined businesses.  Ivan has always had an artistic eye, and studied fashion at the Art Institute of NY city. Hailing from Styvasant NY, he is the creator of Muscleman Farms, a home gym/self-sufficient farm.

Ivan has been vending at the Hudson and Kingston farmers markets for a number of years. Being a handyman as well, he often helps move antiques in Hudson, where he procures many of the items we upcycle. One of Ivan's main beliefs is in the power that each of us holds. He is a firsthand example of never giving up on acquiring your dreams, and living a life that enriches the lives of those around him.

I have been creating art from an early age and began vending at a local punk rock flea market in 2001. I have always been in awe of the cycle of life and death, birth and rebirth. Not only in the physical sense, but also in reinventing yourself, and letting go of that which no longer serves you. A major theme in my art is innocence and the beauty of death and Nature.

I believe that life is a wild ride, with so many unknowns. All we have is our own individual perception, but we all possess the magik to transform ourselves and not be scared or weighed down by outside forces. I want everyone who sees our art to feel a sense of peace, belonging, and to know that no matter how “different” you feel, you are Beautiful and capable of achieving amazing things.

All you have to do is put yourself out there, and please, never give up. Believe in yourself and trust your instincts. Don't be afraid to fail, and always be open to learning and growing. With hard work and dedication, anything is possible.
